How does Sensei actually see my screen?
When you hold ⌃ + ⌥ and ask a question, she takes a single screenshot of whatever's on screen right then. That snapshot goes along with your question so she has context — it isn't recorded, saved, or sent anywhere else. It lives only for the moment she answers, then disappears.
Does it work with every app?
Yes. Sensei works at the screen layer, not the app layer, so there's nothing to integrate. Browser tab, Excel, Figma, that weird internal tool nobody documented — if you can see it, she can guide you through it.
What's a question?
One question = one full guided answer. You ask, she answers (and points, or teleports, or both). Every account gets 50 free questions a month, refreshed automatically. Need more? Upgrade to Pro for 150 questions a month at $25. Cancel any time.
What if I run out before the month is up?
Add a $5 top-up from inside the app — that's 25 more questions for the rest of your billing period. Or upgrade to Pro and your next renewal kicks in at 150 questions.
Do unused questions roll over?
No — your monthly allotment resets at each renewal, like most usage-based services. Top-up questions are an exception: they stay until you spend them.
Which Macs does it run on?
macOS 14.2 or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel. Sensei lives in your menu bar, never the dock — she's asleep until you hold the hotkey.
What data is stored?
The bare minimum. Your question and the one-off screenshot go to the AI only to produce an answer; nothing about your screen is retained after the reply. No training, no logging, no background capture.
